Hobbies/Interests: Some of my hobbies are dancing, social networking, surfing the internet, taking photos and watching movies and series. My interests are Bollywood, music, soccer and cricket as well as anything computer-related!
What do you think is the role of a mentor: The role of a mentor is to be a guide, as well as a friend, to the mentee. A mentor should provide helpful and insightful information that will help the mentee make better, more well-informed decisions about their careers as well as anything else that they might need help with. A mentor should be someone who is approachable and friendly and someone who can motivate you to do your best, no matter what.
Why do you want to be a GirlEng mentor: I was lucky enough to have been a GirlEng mentee in 2011 and the entire experience changed my life. Now that I have the opportunity to be a mentor, I want to give back and share my experiences with other young girls who are considering pursuing careers in engineering. I want to inspire and motivate young girls to study engineering and to show them that engineering can actually be fun! I know that I enjoyed my time being a GirlEng mentee, and I can only imagine how much more fun and rewarding the experience is for a GirlEng mentor.
Words to live by: Live every day like it's your last because you're given today, but not promised tomorrow.comments powered by Disqus
